What a journey the past six months have been!
I am continuously amazed by what we have created. Since our launch last month, the outpouring of support and overwhelmingly positive feedback across all the markets we serve has been energizing. And validating. Thank you.
We listened to you, founders throughout South Carolina and the US. We asked founders across a wide spectrum of innovation viewpoints and journeys, what do you want and need that you are not getting today?
The answers were varied, but all had a common theme. You wanted a trusted, independent source for information to help you along your entrepreneurial journey. You wanted a navigator, not just another aggregator. You wanted founder and innovation stories across different industries and viewpoints. You wanted to hear the “oh, sh!t” moments. You did not want another long, cluttered email newsletter.
You wanted something that felt special and created just for you.
In response, we spent many weeks workshopping, and we ended up creating something new. An innovation in and of itself, which is pretty damn awesome considering we are a voice for local innovators and founders. We designed first-of-its kind digital digest, or local zine.
The backend infrastructure is designed to allow us to create customized local zines quickly, so we can scale the business efficiently. Most importantly, we felt it delivered on the ask for creating and curating something that was special just for founders, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
Just like any startup and new product innovation, we will be continuously improving. We are currently working on the mobile swiping capability. We are also working on a “terms and definitions” page to capture the language of entrepreneurship. And we are working with our founding partners and supporters to provide deeper resource content so you are better armed with info on where to go for help.
