This grant opportunity is made possible through funding by the National League of Cities for the Equitable Economic Mobility Initiative (EEMI). The EEMI initiative supports building economic mobility for small businesses following the inequitable economic impacts of the pandemic. The City of Charleston has been implementing the EEMI initiative since 2020.
With this grant opportunity, we seek to engage black-owned microbusinesses in 2 in-person workshops that will provide information and networking opportunities to help participants establish and grow their business. Successful participants will receive a $1,000 stipend to use for business purposes.
